Tip of the Week

One way to prevent a heart attack when the cell phone bill arrives is to prevent talking longer than the peak minutes allotted in a selected plan. Additional talk time is charged on a per-minute basis which usually costs about 45 cents per minute (that is the average minimum rate and it can be more or less depending on the cellular plan the consumer has). This is the most common way that many consumers accumulate outlandish cell phone bills.

The best way to avoid additional talk time is to constantly track the minutes being used. Most carriers offer a feature that will keep a live update of minutes used so the user can stay on top of their cell phone usage. If the user believes they will need additional minutes each month they can adjust their cell phone plan accordingly. Cell phones are a convenience if used responsibly.
